Does metadata cleanup turn off YouTube’s AI label?
No label-removal outcome has been validated for Transfa. YouTube’s guidance explains when creators need to disclose realistic altered or synthetic content, how labels are added, and that some AI-tool workflows may disclose automatically. A local file cleaner cannot change the origin of the content or act on a published video.
What if YouTube added the label automatically?
YouTube says an incorrect automatic detection can be corrected in many cases through the AI use disclosure survey in Studio. Labels from YouTube’s own AI tools, C2PA metadata or manual review cannot be adjusted that way. File cleanup is not a control for changing an existing YouTube label.

What the MP4/MOV cleaner can do
The video beta clears supported metadata fields without re-encoding audio or video. File size usually stays the same because offsets are preserved. Unsupported structures are rejected. It does not remove subtitles, visible marks, watermarks embedded in frames or every unknown metadata field.
Check playback, then publish normally
- Keep your original clip and clean a supported copy.
- Play the downloaded copy and check its audio, orientation and duration.
- Upload that copy in YouTube Studio and complete the disclosure controls appropriate to the content.
For thumbnails, JPEG, PNG and WebP can use the photo cleaner. Neither workflow is a promise of a label-free YouTube upload.
