Simple, free for now, and local
Choose your photos, let the tool clean supported hidden file information, and save copies. Photos support JPEG, PNG and WebP. The separate MP4/MOV beta extends the same local approach to supported video containers.
We preserve supported compressed media data rather than exporting a smaller or re-encoded version. Originals stay on your device. There is no signup, payment gate or account needed for processing.
Technical testing and Instagram results are different evidence
Our automated image checks cover byte and decoded-pixel preservation, orientation, color profiles, transparency, animation, metadata containers and invalid files. Sharing checks verify that cleaned File bytes and filenames reach the native sharing API.
Video checks use generated MP4 and MOV fixtures with audio and rotation. We compare decoded video frames, decoded audio, playback duration and rotation, and check seeking after cleanup. Unsupported structures are rejected. These tests cover fixture behavior, not every camera or editor export.
One early user reported that Instagram’s AI label was absent when they posted a cleaned edited photo. We have not independently reproduced that result or measured a success rate. We have no validated Instagram video-label outcome. Results may change with file contents, disclosures and platform behavior.
Desktop browser checks at phone dimensions are useful for layout and controls, but they do not replace testing on a physical iPhone or Android phone. Native save destinations vary across devices.
The before/after visual is an illustration
The homepage shows the same illustrative travel image with and without a simulated AI info badge. It is not a pair of Instagram screenshots, a real platform capture, or a guarantee. The travel image itself was generated for the site’s design.
Real results should identify the relevant platform and file type and make clear that one upload cannot establish a success rate. We do not use invented testimonials, fake follower counts or AI-detector percentages.
Useful answers, with sources
Our guides distinguish Meta’s published labeling guidance from what Transfa actually does. We use primary documentation for technical and platform claims and mark unsupported outcomes clearly. Content was reviewed by Transfa on October 17, 2026.
We don’t claim to remove invisible watermarks or make content “undetectable.” Keep originals, respect attribution and provenance, and follow the disclosure requirements for the material you post.
